This tour was such an amazing experience! Sergio was great, super easy to contact and very knowledgeable. He was very friendly and easy to talk to the whole time, showed us some of the most beautiful views!! My husband and I decided to do this as part of our honeymoon and it was perfect!
Sergio was fabulous! So enthusiastic and fun. We saw way more than we could ever have done on our own. We travelled roads I would not have even attempted. Sergio was always thinking ahead altering the route to accommodate ever changing weather conditions. This tour was a major highlight of our time in northern Portugal

Sergio was very friendly and accommodating and picked us up at our hotel as well as dropping us off there making it very convenient and easy for us. He served us delicious food and wine and was very knowledgeable about all the details of the mountain. He was extremely informative.
This was a wonderful 4 hour long trip in a 4 wheel drive vehicle in the high Estrella Mountains. The scenery was amazing and we got to see places we would not have been able to access otherwise. Our guide Sergio, was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative and even brought delicious local wine and cheese for us. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone.
He knows all about the area and is willing to share all his knowledge. We had a fantastic trip and some very interesting discussions. We can highly recommend this tour for everyone with interest in local history/culture. And the nature is stunning.

Do I need previous experience?
No. Our activities are designed for all levels. The guide adapts the pace and difficulty to the group, so anyone in reasonable physical condition can join.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We assess conditions in the 24h before. If it's unsafe to go ahead, we'll reschedule or fully refund. Light rain usually doesn't cancel: the mountain is beautiful under clouds too.
How do I book and pay?
Book through the online form or on WhatsApp. On the website you can pay straight away by card, MB WAY or Multibanco (30% deposit or the full amount), or just send the request and pay once we confirm. We reply within 1 hour.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48h before the activity, with full refund. Within 48h, the date can be changed subject to availability.
What languages are the activities run in?
Our guides run the activities in Portuguese, English and Spanish. If you would prefer another language, tell us when booking and we will confirm availability.
Are the activities suitable for people with reduced mobility?
It depends on the activity. The 4x4 tours and the Douro boat tours are the most accessible, since most of the time is spent in the vehicle or on board, with short stops. Trails and night hikes involve uneven ground. Talk to us before booking and we will point you to the best option.
Do you cater for vegetarians or food allergies?
For experiences that include a meal or tasting, tell us about any dietary restrictions when booking. We confirm them in advance with the local producers and restaurants we work with.
Where is the meeting point?
Most activities start in Guarda, Manteigas, Seia or Covilhã. The exact spot is confirmed after booking. For groups of 4+, we can arrange pickup at accommodations nearby.
Can I bring children?
Yes, on most experiences. 4x4 activities are suitable from age 4; long treks from age 10. Mention ages on the form and we'll recommend the best fit.
Where do the boat tours depart from?
All our boat tours depart from Pinhão, the heart of the Douro wine region.
Can I book privately?
Yes. We offer private boat tours and can arrange private 4x4 tours on request: perfect for celebrations or families.
