Frequently Asked Questions
How many people fit and how much is it?
Up to 8 people. It is €200 for 2 people plus €15 for each extra person. If you want a second hour, the same amount is added again.
Can I plan a proposal or a celebration on board?
Yes. The boat is just for your group and the route and pace are adapted to you. Tell us what you have in mind in the booking note or on WhatsApp and we will prepare it with you.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We check the weather and river conditions in the 24h before. If it isn't safe to go ahead, we offer another date or a full refund. Light rain doesn't usually cancel the tour.
How do I book and pay?
Book through the online form or on WhatsApp. On the website you can pay straight away by card, MB WAY or Multibanco (30% deposit or the full amount), or just send the request and pay once we confirm. We reply within 1 hour.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48h before the activity, with full refund. Within 48h, the date can be changed subject to availability.
What languages are the activities run in?
Our guides run the activities in Portuguese, English and Spanish. If you would prefer another language, tell us when booking and we will confirm availability.
Are the activities suitable for people with reduced mobility?
It depends on the activity. The 4x4 tours and the Douro boat tours are the most accessible, since most of the time is spent in the vehicle or on board, with short stops. Trails and night hikes involve uneven ground. Talk to us before booking and we will point you to the best option.
Where do the boat tours depart from?
All our boat tours depart from Pinhão, the heart of the Douro wine region.
Are tours suitable for children?
Yes. Both boat and 4x4 tours are family-friendly.
Is transport included?
No. The tour starts and ends in Pinhão and getting there is up to you. Pinhão has a train station on the Douro Line, so it is easy to come from Porto without a car.
Can I book privately?
Yes. We offer private boat tours and can arrange private 4x4 tours on request — perfect for celebrations or families.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, sun protection, sunglasses and a camera. For sunset tours, a light jacket is a good idea.
