What happens if the weather is bad?

We assess conditions in the 24h before. If it's unsafe to go ahead, we'll reschedule or fully refund. Light rain usually doesn't cancel — the mountain is beautiful under clouds too.

How do I book and pay?

Book through the online form or WhatsApp. We confirm availability in under 1 hour. Payment is made after confirmation via bank transfer or MB Way — nothing is charged before we confirm.

What is the cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 48h before the activity, with full refund. Within 48h, the date can be changed subject to availability.

What languages are the activities run in?

Our guides run the activities in Portuguese and English. If you would prefer another language, tell us when booking and we will confirm availability.

Are the activities suitable for people with reduced mobility?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the activity. The 4x4 tours and the Douro boat tours are the most accessible, since most of the time is spent in the vehicle or on board, with short stops. Trails and night hikes involve uneven ground. Talk to us before booking and we will point you to the best option.

Do you cater for vegetarians or food allergies?

For experiences that include a meal or tasting, tell us about any dietary restrictions when booking. We confirm them in advance with the local producers and restaurants we work with.

Do I need a professional camera?

Accepted Answer

No. Any camera with manual mode (DSLR, mirrorless or bridge) works. A tripod is essential — if you don't have one, we can lend you one with prior notice (subject to availability).

I'm a beginner, is it for me?

Yes. The workshop starts with a ~30-minute theory session, and the photographer assists each participant individually in the field, adjusting explanations to your level.

What's the best time of the month to come?

For sharp Milky Way photos, the best nights are around the new moon (darkest sky). On moonlit nights we focus on lit landscapes, star trails and constellations. Ask us for the best date when booking if Milky Way is your goal.

What if the sky is cloudy on the booked date?

We confirm the forecast up to 24h before. If it's expected to be overcast, we offer a reschedule or a full 100% refund. We don't run the workshop under closed skies.

Question 12

Can I join without a camera, just to watch?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on request. We have a reduced rate for companions who only want to observe the sky and the session. Contact us before booking to confirm availability.

Question 13

Is there hiking? Is it physically demanding?

Accepted Answer

No. The workshop takes place in a single location with easy access from the meeting point (short walks on flat ground). Suitable for anyone in normal physical condition.
