What is included in the €500?
The private jeep for up to 4 people, a local guide, regional lunch, a Port wine tasting and visits to selected estates. Drinks beyond those served with the meal and accommodation are not included.
How long is it and where does it start?
About 7 hours. Pick-up is in Foz Côa, Meda or Pinhão and the route is adapted to your group.
Do I need previous experience?
No. Our activities are designed for all levels. The guide adapts the pace and difficulty to the group, so anyone in reasonable physical condition can join.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We check the weather and river conditions in the 24h before. If it isn't safe to go ahead, we offer another date or a full refund. Light rain doesn't usually cancel the tour.
How do I book and pay?
Book through the online form or on WhatsApp. On the website you can pay straight away by card, MB WAY or Multibanco (30% deposit or the full amount), or just send the request and pay once we confirm. We reply within 1 hour.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 48h before the activity, with full refund. Within 48h, the date can be changed subject to availability.
What languages are the activities run in?
Our guides run the activities in Portuguese, English and Spanish. If you would prefer another language, tell us when booking and we will confirm availability.
Are the activities suitable for people with reduced mobility?
It depends on the activity. The 4x4 tours and the Douro boat tours are the most accessible, since most of the time is spent in the vehicle or on board, with short stops. Trails and night hikes involve uneven ground. Talk to us before booking and we will point you to the best option.
Do you cater for vegetarians or food allergies?
For experiences that include a meal or tasting, tell us about any dietary restrictions when booking. We confirm them in advance with the local producers and restaurants we work with.
Are tours suitable for children?
Yes. Both boat and 4x4 tours are family-friendly.
Is transport included?
Pickup and return at the meeting point are included. Hotel pickup outside the meeting points may be arranged on request.
Can I book privately?
Yes. We offer private boat tours and can arrange private 4x4 tours on request — perfect for celebrations or families.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, closed shoes, sun protection, sunglasses and a camera. For sunset tours, a light jacket is a good idea.
