The crossing is done in three stages of roughly 10, 15 and 13 km, on mountain terrain, over three consecutive days. It's a moderate level: no technical experience needed, but you should be used to walking for several hours.

In rural lodging in the Upper Douro, two nights, breakfast included. The overnight stops are part of the route and are chosen for their proximity to each stage.

How do I get to the starting point?

The train ride from Porto to Pocinho is included and is part of the experience: it runs the Douro railway line along the most beautiful stretch of the valley.

What does the €550 cover?

No. Our activities are designed for all levels. The guide adapts the pace and difficulty to the group, so anyone in reasonable physical condition can join.

We assess conditions in the 24h before. If it's unsafe to go ahead, we'll reschedule or fully refund. Light rain usually doesn't cancel — the mountain is beautiful under clouds too.

Book through the online form or WhatsApp. We confirm availability within 24 hours. Payment is made after confirmation via bank transfer or MB Way — nothing is charged before we confirm.

Free cancellation up to 48h before the activity, with full refund. Within 48h, the date can be changed subject to availability.

What languages are the activities run in?

Our guides run the activities in Portuguese and English. If you would prefer another language, tell us when booking and we will confirm availability.

Are the activities suitable for people with reduced mobility?

It depends on the activity. The 4x4 tours and the Douro boat tours are the most accessible, since most of the time is spent in the vehicle or on board, with short stops. Trails and night hikes involve uneven ground. Talk to us before booking and we will point you to the best option.
