Day 1
The adventure begins in the heart of Alvão Natural Park, a region where the mountain blends with rivers, traditional villages and surprising landscapes. From the start, the trail leads us along paths surrounded by lush vegetation, ancient stone walls and streams flowing down from the highest parts of the serra.
Along the way we encounter small waterfalls and areas where the river has carved through rock over thousands of years, creating unique natural scenery. It's a day of constant discovery, where every kilometre reveals a new detail of the serra.
At the end of the day we arrive at our accommodation, where the tranquillity of the mountain allows us to recharge. Dinner marks the moment of pause before a second day that promises new landscapes and challenges.
Day 2
The second day takes us to explore the most impressive part of this mountain region. The trail leads us through deep valleys and areas where water plays a dominant role in the landscape, creating some of the park's most iconic images.
Along the route we approach one of the most emblematic natural areas of Alvão Natural Park, where the river plunges in great waterfalls forming a powerful and unforgettable scene.
Despite the accumulated effort, the group's atmosphere makes every step easier. Between conversations, landscapes and moments of contemplation, we press on until we complete this crossing with that unique feeling of having lived two intense days in the heart of the mountains.

We did a two-day trek. Incredible landscapes. A very committed and friendly guide. A beautiful, demanding route, especially Loriga up to the top of the range. Excellent value for money. I'd do it all again.
Today we did a four-hour 4x4 tour of Serra da Estrela and it was simply wonderful. Sérgio was a flawless guide — knowledgeable, calm, and with that respect for the mountain that only someone who truly feels it can pass on. He took us along tracks that tell old stories and made us feel we were discovering it all for the first time.
The tour was perfect! We got to see Serra da Estrela through places that are beautiful and well off the usual route. Sérgio really cares about giving guests a different experience, and he looks after everyone's wellbeing and safety. Our family highly recommends this activity!
