The catalogue has five families: 4x4 tours in Serra da Estrela (sunset, sunrise, full day and shared), night activities in the mountains (stargazing, night hikes and a night photography workshop), boat and 4x4 tours in the Douro valley departing from Pinhão, multi-day trekking expeditions (Serra da Estrela, Gerês, Alvão, Caramulo and Douro Wild) and exclusive experiences such as Between Castles and Wines, in the Historic Villages of Beira Interior.

Douro boat tours start at €20 per person (sunset) and €27 (shared departure). In Serra da Estrela, night hikes are €40 per person, stargazing €50, the night photography workshop €55 and the shared 4x4 tour €70. Private 4x4 tours are priced per jeep for up to 4 people: €190 at sunrise, €250 at sunset and €500 for the full day. Two-day trekking expeditions start at €65 per person, and the three-day Douro Wild expedition is €550 per person with accommodation, meals and transport included.

Half-day activities run from 2h30 (stargazing) to 8h (full-day 4x4). Private sunrise and sunset 4x4 tours last about 4h and the shared tour 3h. Exclusive experiences and the combined Douro boat + 4x4 take a full day. Trekking expeditions are 2 days, except Douro Wild, which is 3.

For a first visit to Serra da Estrela, the shared 4x4 tour (3h, €70 per person) covers the mountain highlights in a small group and requires no physical preparation. In the Douro, the equivalent is the shared boat tour from Pinhão (€27 per person). If you have a full day and want to see as much as possible, the full-day 4x4 or the combined boat + 4x4 have the most stops.

In Serra da Estrela we pick you up in Guarda, Manteigas, Covilhã or Seia. In the Douro, boat tours depart from Pinhão and 4x4 tours offer pick-up in Pinhão, Foz Côa or Meda. The exact meeting point is agreed when we confirm your booking.

Do the experiences run all year round?

Yes, with different seasons. December to March brings snow at higher altitudes. April to June the mountain is green and the streams are full. July and August have the clearest skies, which is when stargazing and the photography workshop are at their best. September and October bring autumn colour and quieter trails. Multi-day trekking expeditions run on set dates, published on each expedition page.
