what an exclusive experience is
It is a full day, cultural in nature, built around the Historic Villages of Beira Interior — walls, stone streets and the table of the people who live here. It starts at the door of your accommodation, at around 9 am, and ends in the same place in the late afternoon. In between there is room for three villages, a tasting of regional wines and a regional lunch with drinks included.
This is not a catalogue tour with extra stops: what changes is the nature of the day. The 4x4 tours in Serra da Estrela, the night activities and the Douro boat tours are about landscape and mountain, leave from fixed meeting points and run between 2h30 and 8h. Here the subject is the inhabited land — history, wine and food — and the vehicle comes to you.
The group is small by design: up to nine people by van, up to four by 4x4. The villages visited are chosen according to the calendar and the conditions of the day, so no two editions are exactly alike. The pace is relaxed and the walks are short — no particular fitness or previous experience is required.

The price — €130 per person by van, €180 per person by 4x4 — covers the whole day, from transport to lunch. The difference between the two is not comfort: the van seats up to nine and is what couples, groups of friends and families usually pick; the 4x4 seats up to four and reaches lesser-known places.
Digital photos of the day are sent afterwards, and personal accident insurance is included in both options. If anyone in the group has dietary restrictions, tell us when booking: we arrange lunch and the tasting with the local producers and restaurants we work with.
For groups larger than nine, the day is arranged separately — talk to us on WhatsApp and we'll put the logistics together.

It is for people with a full day in Serra da Estrela who don't want to spend all of it on the mountain, and for those who come to the region for the culture and the table before the landscape. Couples, groups of friends and families make up most of these bookings.
Since the effort amounts to short walks through the villages, children and older travellers do the whole programme comfortably — unlike the trekking expeditions, which ask for some walking habit, or the night trails, which cross uneven ground in the dark. Activities are run in Portuguese and English; for any other language, ask before booking.
